I close my eyes,
now bright and seeing,
imagining the wind,
lifting my arms as if to soar,
dig my toes into the ground as if to push.
Yet I do not,
my arms slap down to my sides,
useless for flying,
my ears stick out uselessly for echos,
tiny and unclear,
no sound waves fly back at me as my voice,
deep and unpitched,
flys away from me.
Bringing only greif,
I am stuck.
bound by gravity,
controlled, monitored,
by a dying circle of life,
I am an earthbound,
no one to anyone,
one of many,
yet unseen, unheard,
useless.
